Purpose

This document describes the use of AI Conveyor in the format of a centralized bank AI office: coordinating initiatives across business units, a single portfolio, and governance.

Key ideas

  • The bank AI office acts as the owner of the methodology and the portfolio; business units (risk, operations, treasury, retail, etc.) are the owners of the initiatives.
  • A single registry and stage-gate process make it possible to balance resources and priorities across directions and to avoid duplication.
  • Bank-specific factors—regulation, requirements for model explainability and data—are taken into account in governance from the very beginning.

How it works

The AI office implements the conveyor (stage gates, playbooks, registry), configures governance with regulatory requirements in mind, and manages the portfolio. Initiatives from risk, operations, treasury, and others go through a common conveyor; portfolio and impact reporting is consolidated at the bank level.
